French Press Coffee is the kind that is dense and heavy kind of coffee. It’s elegant and classy. Now you can make it on your own at home, in the office or for your friends when they come to visit you. This time you are going to make it as if you are a professional barista who has just earned a certificate from a famous barista course.
What you will need:
- French Press17 oz (I got mine in here)
- Coffee Grinder (this one is good)
- Kettle (get yours here)
- 30 grams coffee bean (Gayo /Toraja)
- 350 grams of water
Follow my step by step instructions here.
Boil 350 grams of water to fill in 17 oz french press.
Grind your coffee bean using coffee grinder to a coarse, even grind.Grind about 30 grams of coffee bean. There are many kinds of coffee grinder, manual or electronic. I wrote a separate article on coffee grinder here.
Put the coffee grind at the bottom of the french press, and start pouring some water gently into the press. Pour about 60 grams of water first. Stir with a wooden spoon or stick. Let the coffee brew for about 30 seconds.
Pour the remaining water and close the lid. Don’t plunge yet. Let the coffee brew for exactly 4 minutes.
Press the filter down. After pressing, you may want to serve the coffee immediately. Don’t let it sip too long or it will over brew.
